We can receive instruction on what to do, but not on how to think. We must develop our own thinking and to help us we can be encouraged to see in new ways, to question what we have taken to be true. In a world of rapid change this must become a willingness to to learn, unlearn and relearn over and over again.
Stories have long been used to convey important lessons and values in ways that let them be assimilated into what we are, not just what we do. Whether fable or fairy tale we remember the story, and perhaps more importantly are changed by the message.
The following are part of a series of books designed to share understanding of change in ways that will engage and entertain.
Letting go In the tradition of stories such as Animal Farm, his story uses our perception of animals to explore different attitudes towards change. It follows donkey as he faces losing his job, and begins to discover his paradigm, and the previously hidden understanding of his friends. Letting go will be published by photon books, see www.photonbooks.com for more details.
Travellers Two travellers are thrown together on a train and begin to explore how each sees their world through quite different eyes. As they talk they realise that they can only see what they are prepared to see.
